Invitation to the EMPA regional group meeting
Dear colleagues of the VDT regional group Switzerland,

The VDT regional group Switzerland will meet this time in Dübendorf to exchange experiences and network.
When: September 10, 2025, 1:30 p.m.
Where: Meeting point at the main entrance of EMPA, Überlandstrasse 129, 8600 Dübendorf

The theme of the meeting is building acoustics—an area whose importance we are all aware of, especially when poor acoustics have a noticeable impact.
Mr. Haselbach from EMPA (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology) will give us a tour of the building acoustics laboratory and NEST (Next Evolution in Sustainable Building Technologies). Afterwards, weather permitting, we will go on a sound walk with Mr. Eggenschwiler. This is an excellent opportunity to look beyond the proverbial 19" rack edge.

We will then round off the afternoon with a cozy get-together in a nearby restaurant.

EMPA is easily accessible by public transportation: From Zurich-Stettbach station, bus 760 (towards Dübendorf station) takes you directly to the EMPA site.
