Our “Women in Sound” series is entering its thirteenth round. This time, we have invited Natalia Kiës. Natalia is pianist, composer and singer.

Under the title “What kind of sound engineers does the market need?”, the VDT Symposium organized by the Swiss Regional Group is entering its second round. The event is aimed at career starters, students, and trainees, and will take place at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

Today, our regional meeting at the Beethovenhalle in Bonn will feature a demonstration of the Vivace reverberation system.

The Stuttgart Regional Group is visiting our sponsor, Lawo, in Rastatt. There, we will tour the exhibition on the company’s product history and attend a presentation on the topic. Afterward, we will take a guided tour of the production facilities.

Our annual general meeting will take place today in hybrid form, both at the Deutschlandfunk premises in Cologne and online for all connected members.

The Executive Board usually meets online on the first Monday of the month and discusses upcoming issues and ongoing projects. This is a closed meeting to which non-board members are only invited if required and interested.

Registration open – At Lautsprecher Teufel, we will gain insights into the company and the brand new Studio 5X, which was specifically developed for the professional sector. In stereo and Dolby Atmos Music setups, we will be able to hear the loudspeaker in the listening room.

Today, the finals of the 10th Student 3D Audio Production Competition are taking place live in Graz. It’s definitely worth checking out! You can do so in Graz, at one of our public viewing locations, or online.

On 17 and 18 November, our sustaining member Audio Pro will host the “Immersive Forum 2026” in Heilbronn. More than 45 talks and demos will offer insights into immersive audio technologies. VDT student and trainee members pay just €50 for both days, including catering.

This weekend, VDT volunteers will meet with the board of the Bildungswerk and some guests for a face-to-face meeting at “Könzgenhaus / Haltern am See“. This is an internal event for invited volunteers.

The dates for the upcoming Tonmeistertagung, the most important exhibition and congress of the pro-audio industry, have been set: It will take place from November 10 to 13, 2027, at the CCD in Düsseldorf. Be sure to keep those dates open!

The volunteers of the VDT are meeting this weekend in Bad Kissingen together with the management of the educational institution and guests. This is an internal event for invited volunteers and also includes the meeting of the extended board.
