The filmsound track: This time with a very extensive program!

André Klar and Catherine Lieser curated the filmsound track for tmt33. This time, it took place in a hall that was perfectly equipped for the topic, the R2 with a wave field synthesis system from Pan Acoustics. In a total of six sessions over three days, they invited visitors to explore a powerful thematic focus, which was well received by the audience. André is convinced that work with audio in film will change significantly in the medium term:

"With our focus on ‘AI in film sound,’ we spent a whole day looking at the current applications of artificial intelligence. All the speakers agreed that special AI tools currently provide support primarily in automated workflows. In the concluding panel discussion, we finally ventured a look into the future. It became clear that some processes will change – but the new technology will not make us redundant anytime soon."
