New board member: Michael Singer (27) rejuvenates the board team

Michael Singer, who holds a master's degree in audiovisual media with a focus on sound, will be joining the VDT board with immediate effect. With his focus on technical topics such as game audio and interactive audio systems, he stands for the further modernization of the association. He wants to promote an atmosphere of open exchange within the VDT. The aim is to create an inspiring environment for new ideas, an environment in which members can benefit from each other's expertise.

“The VDT has modernized significantly in recent years, partly through the continuous rejuvenation of the board,” Michael explains, adding: “I hope we can build on this momentum and continue in the same spirit.”
Michael already stood for election to the board in spring 2025 and was placed on the list of successors.

Jürgen Goeres-Petry, who has been active in the VDT for 35 years as a department head, cash auditor, financial strategist, strategy developer, and board member, among other roles, is paving the way for rejuvenation:

"After tmt33 and the intensive months of preparation, the time has come for me to hand over my responsibilities and make way for new ideas on the board. I am delighted that Michael Singer, a motivated successor, is ready to continue and further develop this work."

The entire VDT team would like to express its sincere thanks to Jürgen for his many years of service and his diverse activities in and for the VDT, and wishes Michael all the best in his new role!
The Executive Board now consists of Ulrike Anderson (President), Daniela Rieger (Vice President), Detlef Halaski (Treasurer), Jörn Nettingsmeier, Lucca Riitano, and Michael Singer.
