As we reported, our Swiss member and volunteer, Urs Wihler, has been the sole managing director of the Bildungswerks des VDT since June. With immediate effect, he and the Bildungswerk can be reached on a new phone number: +49 1522 4323835.
Urs Wihler officially took over as managing director of the Bildungswerk des VDT GmbH (BIW) on 1 May 2026. He succeeded his predecessor, Harald Prieß, who introduced him to his new responsibilities in May. Urs has been closely associated with the Tonmeistertagung for many years and managed the VDT Lounge at tmt32 and tmt33. He was also involved in the Film and Television Section and supported the organization with regional meetings in Switzerland.
Harald Prieß left his mark on the BIW through, among other things, the introduction of the ProAudio College and numerous developments at the Tonmeistertagung, including the Connecting Audio Night, the tmt33 app and the expansion of the Education Forum.
