Innovative, revitalized, and with more participants: The upward trend continues with tmt33.
More than 1,300 visitors flocked to Düsseldorf’s CCD as early as Wednesday, which for the first time replaced the traditional arrival day as a full event day. The atmosphere was lively and relaxed, and the audience was, on average, even younger than in 2023. This very positive trend shows that interest in professional exchange remains high among the industry’s next generation, even after the COVID-19 years and despite the many new digital communication options. About half of the guests came exclusively to visit the trade show – the 105 exhibitors were delighted by the large number of trade visitors. In addition, a total of 230 expert presentations covered a wide range of topics. The conference provided a platform for many newcomers, who in turn contributed fresh, forward-looking content. The ever-present “elephant in the room” – AI – was discussed at length and viewed in a nuanced way as an “intelligent” tool, an opportunity, or an innovator, rather than as an unmitigated threat to creativity and jobs or a miraculous panacea. On the organizational side, there were also numerous innovations, including the tmt33 app, which significantly improved the trade show experience and the planning of attendees’ own event calendars. The most important pro-audio community event of 2025 is still resonating.

Younger, fresher, more international: Tonmeistertagung has evolved
101 exhibitors, 1001 participants on the first day and even more on the following days. This was a significant increase compared to the Tonmeister conferences before the pandemic – tmt32 was a complete success! The exhibiting companies were delighted that more than 40% of people did not attend the congress, but were exclusively interested in their products and services. Full booths and equally full lecture halls proved that the interest in a pure pro audio event is greater than it has been for a long time.

A successful and exciting tmt31 lies behind us
After almost a year of intensive preparation under challenging pandemic planning conditions, the 31st Tonmeistertagung took place at the Congress Center Düsseldorf (CCD) from November 3 to 6, 2021. The courage to hold this conference was appreciated and rewarded with high visitor and exhibitor numbers. In terms of content, tmt31 focused primarily on contributions from the fields of 3D audio as an umbrella topic and game audio as a real new highlight. The sessions on electronic music and mastering were also very popular, as were many long-running topics that can be found at every Tonmeistertagung.

For the thirtieth time: the tmt30
In line with the anniversary, the Tonmeistertagung organized by the VDT recorded a slight increase in visitors this year and a wide-ranging program with many exciting topics. We would like to thank all visitors, exhibitors, authors, helpers, the technical crew in the rooms and above all the many volunteers. They all made this great event possible!
